First off I just want to say,
OK I got it out of my system.
In my last post I told you all about my boys and playing in the sprinklers. Well, our neighbors/Pastor’s kids found out which has totally multiplied the fun by one hundred!
The pictures below were taken after about an hour of door knocking, selling sweets for a church fundraiser. Let me tell you that was too hot of a walk for even us grownups! When we got home, I’m sure you already know what they were asking for….
As I catch you up I’ll also do my best to keep you with the “Current News” as well. My boy’s cousin, has spent the last two nights with us and we have been enjoying her immensely. Then we had plans to have my Pastor’s kids over (the same kiddos in the pictures above) around 8:00 AM this morning, while they had an important meeting to attend too. My wonderful husband allowed me to sleep in a little bit longer and watched them for the first hour.
So here I am in bed comfy and cozy, off into dream land, when all of a sudden my door busts open and I get attacked by 3 girls, 3 boys, a cat, and 2 dogs!! It was a good way to wake up though, with all the smiles and giggles. Of course I had to attack back by grabbing each one of the kids and hold them down as I tickled them. I got up and chased them into the living room with all of them laughing and screaming.
The next part I could hardly believe! For their breakfast I made scrambled eggs with 12 eggs, 2 of the kids had cereal, so I figured that was way more then enough food. Boy was I wrong! There wasn’t even enough for my husband and I. The youngest was my 2 year old and the oldest was my boys’ 9 year old cousin. I am not looking forward to the teenage years, I’m going to go broke!
So I’m going have to ask….How do you parents with teenagers do it? I am a couponer and I watch all the sales and combine them to get the best prices. But I know there are more ways to save that I would love to learn about. Please feel free to leave you answer in the comments below! I would love to hear from you!
